P.E.T.S (Vertical Slice Demo)

P.E.T.S (Preservation of Endangered and Threatened Species) is an animal care job simulator, but instead of a zoo sim with customers, you're behind the scenes taking care of a variety of animals from penguins to pandas and even a South American Coati (based on a real Coati called Casper).

This demo was derived from a chosen game pitch earlier this year, and you can see the evolution from the rapid prototype Zoo Sim to this finished vertical slice.

The demo was made over several weeks in the module 'Advanced Computer Games Design' run by Manchester Metropolitan University. The module emulates a part-time game studio known as 'Cheddar Cat'.

P.E.T.S. will be showcased on 25/05/2023 in the 'MMU Games, Computer Animation, and Visual Effects Showcase 2023' held at Pixel Bar, Manchester.
